# Denver Tree of Heaven

> A volunteer-led Denver community initiative that helps residents identify and manage the invasive Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) to protect urban ecosystems and infrastructure.

Denver Tree of Heaven educates the public, tracks sightings, and provides treatment guidance and—where Neighborhood Captains are active—hands-on help on private property. Tree of Heaven is a Colorado List C noxious weed; state guidance recommends control, but local enforcement is limited, so community action matters.
